Ensuring the security of your account

Our security team has compiled a list of 9 recommendations on how to increase the security of your 1EX account:

1. Use a unique email address and password for your account

You can use a secure password manager like LastPass or KeePass to easily keep track of your passwords and create more complex, secure passwords.

2. Enable 2FA (two-factor authentication) on your 1EX account

2FA adds an extra layer of protection to your account in case your password gets compromised.

3. Always check the address of the domain you are visiting:

Yes, it is possible to resetGoogle Authenticator. Follow the instructions in the Knowledge Base.

How to see your balance?

https://www.1EX.com

Many phishing sites imitate the 1EX domain or website in order to trick you into providing your personal information. Make sure you are visiting a real site.

4. Don't click on links or open unknown attachments in emails.

Only if you are absolutely sure that the email was sent by 1EX.

5. Protect your email and phone, and use PGP (Pretty Good Privacy)

Enable fingerprint or password lock on your phone. Use a trusted email provider and use 2FA for your email account. Use PGP whenever possible.

6. Keep your computer safe

Do not install unnecessary software or software from unreliable developers on your computer. If possible, consider using a separate computer for 1EX and trading. We recommend installing Linux, Chrome, a password manager plugin and nothing else on it.

7. Subscribe to a good antivirus program and update it regularly

8. Secure your internet connection

Always use a wired connection if possible. If you need to use WiFi, consider routing traffic through a VPN.
