Launching Zap — Simple Liquidity Provisioning
One-Click Liquidity Adding
CAKE holders and yield farming enthusiasts, the Kitchen is proud to announce Zap — a significant update to one of our most essential features, liquidity provisioning. With Zap, adding or removing liquidity has never been easier.
What is Zap?
Easy-to-use and beginner-friendly have always been the core of all PancakeSwap products. Zap is a new feature to make adding or removing liquidity much more accessible, especially to those who are new to the DeFi world.
Previously, users had to undergo a relatively complicated process to add liquidity. Usually, it involves swapping or trading the token into a perfect 50:50 split before going to the Liquidity page. It’s proved to be challenging for DeFi beginners.
Zap allows users to add liquidity in a simple, one-step process, even if they have only one token from the trading pair. It eliminates the need for complex math, manual swapping or token balancing. With Zap, liquidity provision becomes effortless for experienced yield farming users and beginner-friendly for anyone who just entered DeFi Space.
What is Zap?
By default, the Zap feature is turned on for every user, and it replaces the old “Liquidity” feature. If you don’t see the new Zap UI when adding or removing liquidity, please enable it in the settings panel. You can bring up the settings panel by clicking the cog icon.
Visit the Liquidity page, and choose “Add Liquidity”. Then pick a trading pair you want to provide liquidity to by selecting two input tokens and click the “Add Liquidity” button to proceed.
With Zap, you can add liquidity using either one or both tokens from the trading pair. Simply tick the checkbox for the token you wish to use and provide. Zap will automatically swap the correct amount of tokens before adding liquidity. You will see a warning message indicating which token will be converted if a conversion is necessary.
When you click “Supply”, the details of the Zap will be shown and await you to confirm.
You will see:
- How many LP tokens you will receive.
- What are the input tokens, and the number of tokens you are committing.
- How the input tokens are traded in order to match a 50/50 split.
- The slippage tolerance you are using..
